Do you like board games? Are you interested in Japanese culture? Are yu attracted by both things? Whatever your team might be, Casa Asia’s Media Library invites you to get to know Japan through Shogi, a board game which through a dynamiser you will learn the different strategies and tactics to play Japanese chess.

Known as the game of generals, its purpose is to capture the king of the rival or make it give in, bearing in mind a particularity: both players can use the pieces captured their rival. They also say it comes from the word shogun that was a person chosen by the emperor himself giving them a military rank of commander of the army.

This activity for 2 people from 8 years on, lasts around 45 minutes and you can attend the session whether you know the game or not and as many times as you like in the following days this term.
