Casa Asia began its participation in Expo Shanghai 2010 last 12th of July with a working breakfast about Social Corporative Responsability (RSC), which tried to organise a mission of Spanish company managers that promote relations between Spain and China within this field. The following day, the 13th of July, this encounter was opened to the general public by means of the «Corporate Responsibility in the Business Strategy of Companies», which approached, with business people and experts, topics such as socially responsible investment, strategic management of social action of environmental management, among other topics, as well as handing in a Catálogo de buenas prácticas en responsabilidad corporativa.
These two activities will be followed by others, within the economic field, or cultural and technological, such as a workshop about the role of digital identity in the construction of new cities or the conference about renewable energies «Beyond Copenhaguen: Climate Change and Renewable Energies in Asia and Europe», which will include the participation of Li Junfeng, President of the China Renewable Energy Entrepreneurs Club. The presentation of a study about the doors to the Mediterranean as an entrance for Chinese goods is planned for the end of August.
Regarding collaborations, Casa Asia has also co sponsored, together with the Instituto Cervantes, the theatre piece Don Quijote de la Mancha in the version of Meng Jinghui and interpreted by the National Theatre Company of China (from the 1st to the 4th of July) or the edition, owing to the Expo, of Guía de Shanghai in Spanish, also coordinated by the Instituto Cervantes, in collaboration with AECID and the General Consulate of Spain in Shanghai.
The participation of Casa Asia at this universal exhibition has included the collaboration, among others, of institutions such as the State Society for International Exhibitions (SEEI) the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), the China-Europe International Business School of Shanghai (CEIBS) or the Club of Excellence in Sustainability.
