The report of the East - West Dialogue 2009 can already be consulted
The East - West Dialogue presents the report of its 6th edition carried out by Manuel Montobbio, Ambassador of Spain in Albania and Reporter of the Forum of the East-West Dialogue. Along with globalization, transnational migration is one of the key characteristics of our time and it has attracted growing concern and increased political attention both at international and local levels. The rising scale of international migration has increased social diversity in societies and communities in many parts of the world.
The conclusions of the Dialogue can be consulted in this new document published by Casa Asia which contains the contributions of the roundtable participants and some final conclusions in the form of a declaration. The goal of the East-West Dialogue is to launch a constructive and critical debate on the issues that divide and unite East and West, with the active participation of civil society.
As a meeting point, the East-West Dialogue has become an annual forum with its permanent headquarters in Barcelona, so world leaders from different fields (political, economic, social and academic and representatives of Non-Governmental Organisations) can exchange their ideas and points of view on the importance of the relationship between the East and the West in a free and independent manner.
