Chinese Contemporary Art "in the open"

Activity   A group of specialists in Chinese contemporary art, resident in Beijing, organises guided visits in Spanish to the main exhibition and production centres of contemporary art in the Chinese capital in July and August 2008. These visits include museums, galleries and studios of artists that work in Beijing.

Organizer   Lan Li: Gallery owner and independent curator.
Esteban Andueza: Advisor and curator specialist in current Chinese art and in collecting contemporary art.

Schedule   From Tuesdays to Sundays, from 12am to 6pm.

Price   30 Euros (300 RMB) per person and day.

Additional information   Everyday visits to the museums Beijing Today Art Museun, National Art Museum and China Art Archives are planned, to the gallery tours in the neighbourhoods of Dashanzi 798 Factory, Chaoyangdi, The Beer Factory, and to the neighbourhoods of residence of the artists Feijacun and Soujiacun. Visits will include the guided explanation in Spanish of exhibitions, and with interviews with artists, gallerists, curators and collectors.
