Friday, 5th of August
Every year people let Chinese lanterns float with prayers, thoughts and peace messages on rivers in the city to the memory of the victims of the atomic bombing. In 2000, a group of volunteers created a website for people from all over the world to write messages and to see messages written by other people. Throughout the day peace messages will be able to be sent by e-mail from a computer set at disposal of the public of Casa Asia Media Library (www.seniornet-hiroshima.gr.jp/).
Visitors will have the chance to write solidarity messages in a book that will be donated to the mayors of those cities that were affected.

Saturday, 6th of August
At the Festival of Floating Chinese Lanterns, sent messages will be printed and they will be attached to Chinese lanterns for them to float on Motoyasu River. This ceremony will be broadcast live on the website.

Casa Asia will broadcast the images of the commemorative events which will be held on that day in Japan and in the whole world.

8pm: Anyone who would like to will have the chance to make an stork origami, paying tribute to the children that died.
